Female Coaches 2020

2020 Womens and Girls Coaching appointments
2020 will be our 3rd year of Women’s Football at Reynella Football Club, we have come a long way in the short period the SFLW teams were introduced, our first training was a combined squad for U14s and Women of about 15 girls, 2019 season saw around 60 girls registered to play at the club across the 3 teams, and with the enthusiasm the girls bring with them I can only see our numbers continue to grow.
I am pleased to announce our Coaches for 2020 are:

Under 14s – Nathan Baldock
Nathan returns in 2020, he took on a group of new but very keen girls in 2019.  Many had never played Footy before but if you had a chance to see them play were eager to learn.  Nathan quickly gained the support and respect of the girls and it was terrific to see them grow.  Nathan at the end of the year approached me saying he was keen to continue as the U14 Girls coach, he felt that the improvement they had this year would continue into 2020.   Welcome back Nathan we wish you and the girls all the success .

Under 16s – Peter Wood

Peter also returns to coach the under 16s, Peter has long been a precious and valued member of our club and has for a long time been involved in skills development with many of our Junior players.  Peter was a big contributor in getting our Girls teams off the ground in 2018 as the Womens Coaching co-ordinator and in 2019 took over the reigns for the U16 Girls team, the team made up mostly of girls coming up from U14s and still eligible to play U16s in 2020, made this years Grand Final and just fell short. Peter and Girls together look forward to another successful season in 2020.

Womens A Grade  – Shane Bradshaw

I am excited to welcome back Shane Bradshaw to the Club but this time as a Coach, Shane comes on board as the 2020 Women’s A Grade Coach, Shane is a Life Member of the Club, A Grade Premiership player, SFL Association Player, selected in the SA Country Association team and also a member of the All Australian Country Chamionship team. Shane was an Assistant Coach to Braedon in 2019 where Shane got the Footy bug back and quickly put his hand up to take on Coaches role.Talking with Shane he is excited by the chance to begin his coaching career with the Club he loves.

I would also like to take the opportunity to thank Braedon Talbot for being the Inaugural womens Coach in 2018, I would also like to wish him all the success in his role as Assistant Coach to the Glenelg SANFLW team
Please join the Committee of the Reynella FC and I in welcoming and supporting all 3 coaches for 2020
