Season 2017

Season 2017 Age Group Criteria:
U17.5: Must be under 18 as of the 1st July
U15: Must be under 15 as of the 1st January
U13: Must be under 13 as of the 1st January
U12: turning 11 or 12 in 2017
U10: turning 9 or 10 in 2017
U8: must be 7 by 30th April or 8 in 2017
Sunday Competition Age Groups: not finalised could be U14, U16 depending on what clubs vote through. Vote is expected to happen early Feb.
With the whole U18’s team from 2016 expected to be playing season football in 2017, Reynella is opened to the possibility of a second C grade team, provided that there is sufficent numbers to warrant this, which will be monitored by preseason attendance.
Seniors, U17.5: starts Wed 11th Jan, 6.30pm at Reynella FC, please see Seniors page under grades for more info.
U15: Wednesday 25th Jan at Pt Noarlunga, 5pm. Meet at rotunda
U13: to commence early February
Minis Registration Date:
Friday 10th Feb, 5.30pm – 7.30pm at Club
Rego pack can now be downloaded from the Minis Page, Under Grades
SFL Registration: All Players Must Register Themself through the SFL website. The Club cannot do this for you, we are happy to assist.

Coaches Appointments 2017

Reynella Football Clubs wishes to annouce our Saturday coaching lineup for season 2017.

 B Grade – Ray O’Donnell

Ray joins us from Brighton where he has coached their B Grade to Grand Finals and comes highly recommended.

C Grade – Matthew Slegers

After a wonderful season and just missing out on the Premiership Matty again leads our C Grade in 2017.

Under 17.5 – Craig Austin

We welcome back Craig this time as Under 17.5 coach

Under 15 – Gavin Speziale

Welcome back Gav after a few years off coaching, Gav is great with the kids and brings in a perfect fit to the Junior coaching group.

Under 13 – Richard Harrison 

Harro has been coaching through the Mini grades and is not only great communicating with the kids but also has a great football background.

With our new A Grade coach Josh Vick at the helm we believe we can look forward to an exciting year ahead and we should be excited about what the year could bring, please get behind Josh and his team and give them a big Winefly welcome.

At this stage we are still waiting to understand what the Sunday competition will be and age groups competing as always Reynella will lead the way with teams across all the grades, the decision on this will be made in January 2017 and we will start looking for coaches as soon as possible.  For anyone that is interested in Coaching a Sunday side in 2017 please let us know by emailing Dave Denyer at .

  • Wednesday 14 PRIORITY: Conditioning: 6.30pm at Hallett Cove Boardwalk, meet at boat shed cafe
  • Friday 16: Conditioning: 6.30pm at Woodcroft Primary School
  • Monday 19: Conditioning: 6.30am Brighton Jetty, 6.30pm Pt Noarlunga Primary School
  • Wednesday 21 PRIORITY: Xmas Break Up at Club

Please Note: Main Sessions is Wednesday. Mondays and Fridays are Optional. Players are Expected to be self-motivated to look after themselves if not attending optional sessions.

A Grade Coach Announcement

Reynella “Wineflies” Football Club
Welcomes Josh Vick – 2017 A Grade Coach

The club is proud to announce that Josh Vick has been appointed the Reynella Football Club A Grade and Club Coach for the 2017 season.
Please join us in welcoming Josh and his family, wife Emma and daughters Amelia and Alexis to the club and make them feel very welcome and part of our Winefly family.

Josh has a strong tie with the local community where he is the Vice Principal of the Woodcroft Primary School, he also comes to the Wineflies with a strong football background in SANFL, SFL, GSFL and State Country representative footy.

He has played his last 3 years of football at Goolwa Football Club where the club has been consistently in the finals.

He has played league football at South Adelaide, and then moved to Cove Football Club where he spent many years and was a big part of their 2008 Premiership, winning their Best and Fairest in 2008, 2009 and 2010. 2010 proved to be a big year for Josh also winning the 2010 Mail Medal for the most brilliant player in the SFL.

We are extremely confident that Josh possesses the qualities, experience and professionalism to lead our club successfully in 2017 and beyond.

Next Tuesday 6th December at 6.30pm, all Senior Players (including all Under 17.5s) are invited to come to the Club to meet Josh and welcome him as he outlines his preseason programme and his expectations for 2017 season under his leadership and he would like catch up with as many of you as possible.

With Josh now on board we will now finalise coaches for all grades for season 2017 as soon as possible
