Southern Tigers Basketball Affiliation

Reynella FC is extremely proud of Todd Davies and Codey Ellison who are part of the all-conquering Southern Tigers basketball program as they drive towards the Basketball SA Premier League Finals series this year. To support Todd, Codey and the rest of the Southern Tigers Men’s and Women’s teams an open invitation has been provided to all Reynella FC families to come and support them at Morphett Vale Stadium (Wilfred Taylor Reserve) this Saturday night to watch their final minor round home games of the season against Norwood. The Women’s game commences at 6:30pm and the Men’s game follows after that. Southern Tigers are providing FREE entry to families who wear Reynella FC attire on the night. So grab the kids and come and watch some wonderful State League basketball action. You won’t be disappointed.  Full bar and canteen facilities are available at the stadium.

Reynella FC is continually looking at opportunities to partner with other sporting clubs and codes that have similar family and community values to ours. We are proud to be linking up another leading southern sporting club in the Southern Tigers Basketball Club this summer. The Southern Tigers are currently flourishing through high performance senior basketball programs and a strong promotion and commitment to their underage programs.  You can see more via the Southern Tigers Facebook page.

Many of our players and families already experience the basketball programs delivered by Southern Tigers over the summer however there is an opportunity for more boys and girls to become involved. From beginners to current players, they are inviting all U8 – U16 boys and girls to their upcoming trial day on Sunday 21 August 2016 (see flyer below). History shows there is a strong link between football and basketball as evidenced through many current AFL players having a background in both codes so we encourage all of our aspiring athletes to be active over the summer.
